Sales Of UNIQLO Store Decreased By 9.8%

Fast Retailing, Asia's largest clothing retailing company, recently announced its lowest sales decline in the first three months of its UNIQLO store in Japan, due to the cold weather in the last week of October, which stimulated consumers' demand for winter clothing.

UNIQLO said in a statement that the same store sales in October or sales in a chain store in Japan for at least one year.

Declined

1.1%.

In October 2009, the company's sales increased by 36%.

The company said the fast selling group benefited from the cold weather at the end of October, and this kind of weather stimulated people's demand for winter clothing.

The retailer provided some discount Heattech thermal underwear in October.

The company expects net income for the first time to fall in four years.

This is because the company is facing more intense competition, which comes from domestic competitors such as AEON, and they also launch similar products like Heattech.

The Spanish group's Zara brand and the Swedish H&M brand are also increasing stores in Japan.

The company said that the sales volume of UNIQLO's same store may drop by 4.7% in the current fiscal year, and its forecast will drop by 9.8% in the next 6 months in the next 6 months.

Excluding the impact of chain stores that opened less than a year, comparable sales fell 25% in September.

This is the largest decline in more than 7 years.

Nagase Daisuke, a spokesman for the company, said in a telephone interview that

customer

No cold weather.

Therefore, the sale of winter clothing has suddenly improved.

He said that uniqo customers also bought a series of wool jackets and ultralight leakproof fabrics.
