French Fashion Brand Carven Opened Its First Men'S Clothing Store In Paris
Today, French fashion brand Carven opened the brand's first independent store for men's wear at No. 30 Rue de S é vign é, Marais, Paris. The store with two floors and an area of 860 square feet is also the brand's third store in Paris.
The first men's clothing store of Carven is the same as the other two women's clothing stores of the brand in Paris designer Designed by Eric Chevallier, Guillaume Henry, the creative director of the brand, contributed some ideas. The store sells Carven men's ready to wear clothes and the Carven Office series, which is the main suit.
Carven, founded by Ms. Carmen de Tommaso in 1944, has rallied since Guillaume Henry joined as design director in 2009 and is very popular. At present, Carven's goods are sold in 450 sales outlets in 60 countries around the world. In the fiscal year ended August 2012, Carven's revenue totaled 22.8 million euros, up 50% year on year.
In order to maintain the rapid growth of its business, Carven decided to give priority to the establishment of its retail network, with the focus on Asia, which has strong growth potential.
Carven's cooperative agent in Asia is Blue Bell Group. This year, Blue Bell will bring Carven to the mainland of China. In May, the first flagship store in China opened in Shanghai, settled in Beijing in autumn and winter, and will return to Shanghai next year to open a second store. As for Hong Kong, Carven has set up three branches in Harbour City, Landmark Plaza and Wanchai Moon Street.

Carven's largest market, France, is still the focus of brand development. During the Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, the brand opened a new flagship store on the left bank of Paris. In addition to the men's independent store opened today, the total number of Carven stores in Paris (independent stores and department store stores) has increased to 6.
The retail network in the United States, the second largest market, is also spreading in an orderly manner. The first store in New York will be opened this year, and the plans to settle in high-end department stores Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue are also in the process of negotiation. Henri Sebaoun, CEO of Carven and its parent company, Soci é t é B é ranger, hopes to increase the sales outlets of the brand in the United States from 100 to 250 to 300, and plans to open 15 independent stores in the next five years.
The online store independently operated by Carven has been launched earlier, selling ready-made clothes and accessories for women's and men's wear, but only accepts orders from Europe and Japan. Henri Sebaoun expects online stores to be profitable within 24 months.
